September 13 Indians on the Golf CourseIndians on the Golf Course was a great turnout, about 35 indians played @ Centennial 9-hole Best Ball. Me and my partner Calvin Redskye won first place, my sister and Terry Waboose won second, Travis Boissoneau and Crystal Hardy won third.
Travis managed to scoop the Closest to the Pin and Longest Men's Drive - good jobby Travis! Meladina Hardy won Ladies Longest Drive, Tesa Beardy won Ladies Closest to the Pin. I am very proud of myself, I did my first drive of over 200 yards. Woohoo!!
I must say Calvin is an amazing player, he does tournaments in Manitoba and Ontario whenever he can. At one point, a ball got stuck in the most impossible place, behind a patch of trees, he pitched the ball above the trees, landing on the green only a about a metre from the hole. Wow.
Afterwards we bbq'd at sis house and rocked the house with exuberant karaoke. It was a great day and night I say. We have some memorable video footage of Corinne's rendition of "Indian Reservation" of the Ojicree Nation! You guys have to see this whenever you come to visit, Fran and Abby.
